Acting as partners and trusted advisors, Philosophy exists to enable our clients to take effective action to align their business model with the needs of people and the planet, in the pursuit of profit. We deliver our impact through our thoughtful business approach, which is designed to help businesses create a clearly define business philosophy which underpins everything they do.
What is our business philosophy?
We believe an authentic philosophy should be baked into the heart of the company. Cut that company down the middle like a stick of rock and it should be written in bold. Philosophy’s strong belief is that businesses only thrive when those underlying principles consider people, planet and profit on an equal footing.
Philosophy’s own ‘stick of rock’ is baked from the following key ingredients:

We are determined to pursue progress and have the courage to maintain the right course, even against difficult headwinds. We use wisdom over fear

Proudly B Corp Certified
When our two founders Sophie and Phil first explored joining forces businesses, making B Corp Certification a founding principle was non-negotiable. We were incredibly proud to prioritise our B Corp certification in our first year with an incredible score of 113, which has enabled us to bake purpose into our DNA from the outset. We know that businesses are under pressure to adapt quickly to a fast-changing sustainability landscape. Securing our B Corp Certification gives our clients confidence that we’re applying the same rigour to our own business as we bring to theirs, and that we’re committed to walking the talk alongside them.
Both Phil and Sophie have been deeply embedded in B Corp movement for many years, and have been working to support other businesses to certify since training as B Leaders in 2019. Sophie is also a co-Chair of the Oxfordshire B Local, and Phil was co-Chair of Cornwall B Local until 2024, so in addition to our own certification, we are active proponents of the B Corp philosophy in the wider business community.
