London, UK – Newly launched sustainability consultancy Philosophy has been awarded B Corp Certification in its first year of operation, achieving an impressive score of 113 points.
Launched in June 2025 by Phil Clarke and Sophie Brooks – founders of certified B Corps Consciam Ltd and Fit for Purpose, Philosophy has been created from these merged entities, and exists to enable businesses measure and understand their impacts, and define an authentic mission that builds resilience while addressing real-world needs.
“When Phil and I first explored joining forces businesses, making B Corp Certification a founding principle was non-negotiable. Securing certification in our first year has enabled us to bake purpose into our DNA from the outset,” said Sophie Brooks, Co-founder of Philosophy.
Although certified under the current B Corp standards (V1), the founders are already preparing to meet the more stringent requirements of Version 2, which will come into effect in 2026.
Co-Founder Phil Clarke commented “We know that businesses are under pressure to adapt quickly to a fast-changing sustainability landscape. Securing our B Corp Certification gives our clients confidence that we’re applying the same rigour to our own business as we bring to theirs, and that we’re committed to walking the talk alongside them.”
Since its launch, Philosophy has won a number of significant projects, including supporting Ampa LLP in its preparations for B Corp recertification under Version 2, guiding TAP Social through certification, delivering a new programme of work with UK technology leader OneAdvanced, as well as continuing to support many previous clients on footprinting, target setting and impact reduction plans.
“Our B Corp Certification is critical to us both culturally and strategically, and the New Standard which we will be recertifying under next year represents a step change in terms of rigour and requirements. So we wanted to make sure we were preparing well in advance, and knew we’d benefit from a consultancy partner who could help us on that journey”, comments Ampa’s Group Head of Responsible Business Rob Hart. “Philosophy’s intimate knowledge of the B Corp framework, combined with the team’s expertise in sustainability best practices made them a clear choice.”
